Save money on your data plan.

You know that providing your employees with wireless access to emails and calendars can increase collaboration and productivity, especially when they’re on the go. If you’ve been unable to give your employees BlackBerry smartphones because it is too expensive, Exchange My Mail has your solution. Our hosted BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express (BES Express) solution enables your employees to get wireless access to their email, calendars, and contacts without an expensive corporate data plan.

You can save up to $200 per user per year!

Exchange My Mail’s hosted BES Express service enables you to link your BlackBerry smartphone with your hosted Exchange email service, but without requiring a corporate data plan from your wireless carrier.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which wireless plan do i need?

A full BIS data plan is required – and NOT BIS Lite, BIS Social or BIS email. It will also work with pre-paid plans that are for a full BIS plan. Most wireless providers offer two types of data plans for BlackBerry smartphones, basic and corporate. Traditionally, you needed the more expensive corporate data plan to sync your BlackBerry smartphone with an Exchange email server. With Exchange My Mail’s new service, you can use the less expensive basic data plan, without sacrificing functionality.

Which versions of hosted Exchange does this support?

This offering is only for users on our Hosted Exchange 2007 or Hosted exchange 2010 service. If you are currently on Exchange 2003, you will first need to upgrade to Exchange 2010. Please contact support to make arrangements.

Will users with a BIS Plan have the same features as users on a BES PLAN?

The feature set will not differ between a BIS and BES PLAN with the exception that BES PLAN users will be able to natively wirelessly activate on BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express, and BIS PLAN users will require the separately installed Enterprise Action application to do so. Some features will be dependent on certain versions of BlackBerry Device Software.

How does a user activate on BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express? (BES Express)

Users can use the following methods to activate:

  • BlackBerry® Desktop Manager
  • Wireless Enterprise Activation for devices provisioned with an enterprise data plan
  • Wireless Enterprise Activation for devices provisioned with a BIS data plan **NEW**
  • Enterprise Activation Application.

How do existing users migrate from BlackBerry Enterprise Server to BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express?

Existing customers wishing to move users from their current BlackBerry Enterprise Server to our BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express environment will be required to follow the below steps.

  1. Perform a manual device wipe.
  2. Login to the web based control panel as an administrator, and navigate to "Exchange > BlackBerry Accounts. Then select the user(s) that you want to switch to our BES Express Servers, and click "Delete".
  3. Once the user(s) have been deleted, you will need to add them back. Simply click on "Add new account" and select the user(s) you want to add. They will automatically be provisioned to our new BES Express servers.

We strongly suggest you perform a full backup of your device before wiping, or deleting any users

If you are an existing Hosted Exchange customer, but currently do not have Wireless BlackBerry sync service with us due to the added cost of the wireless data plan charges, please contact us now. We can get you started with the current BIS plan you already have.
